Temporary Child Development Center Assistant Jacksonville (CEPS Complex)
The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will obtain work experience on campus in the JSU Child Development Center. Duties may include assisting staff with preparation for classroom instruction, departmental operational needs, or performing administrative and other support duties as required. The Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will assist with creating and developing lesson material, games and manipulatives for the preschool class. In addition, the Temporary Child Development Center Assistant will work with individual and small groups of children to develop their emerging pre-reading and pre-math skills, self-help skills and social skills. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualification and departmental needs. Work hours will take place between 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. based upon availability of the Temporary Assistant.
Federal Work Study - Community Standards & Title IX (Fall 2024) Jacksonville (Main Campus)

Assistant Professor, Communication Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Communication invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Communication, specializing in news broadcast production and broadcast journalism. This tenure-track position includes a 3:4 or 4:3 teaching load and 9 months of full-time service. Further, the position is for teaching undergraduate media production courses and requires teaching competencies in broadcast journalism, broadcast news studio production, multimedia production of news, and proficiency with contemporary media business models. We balance hands-on skills with an integrated approach to broadcast production in journalism and other forms of content creation. Special consideration will be given to those who can teach creative and experiential courses in broadcast news and media production. The ideal candidate’s research agenda should align well and inform the instructional focus in the program.

The Electrician III in Capital Planning and Facilities performs skilled installation and electrical maintenance work on the master level in accordance with standard practices of the trade. Assignments are received orally or in writing and may be accompanied by penciled sketches or plans. The Electrician III works independently in carrying the duties through to completion, although a maintenance supervisor may check the work while in process. Completed assignments are tested for operation. Supervision of others may be involved.

Custodial Maintenance III in Building Services performs housekeeping duties on the interior and exterior of buildings in addition to carrying or moving heavy equipment or supplies to different areas or buildings on campus. May use pesticides under close supervision and following special instructions on their use and safety. Complex duties may be assigned and a greater degree of independent judgment allowed. Instructions are received orally from supervisor. The Custodial Maintenance III may function as the lead worker with a small group of Custodial Maintenance I employees and Housekeepers.

Adjunct Faculty - Secondary Education (Fall 2024 - Spring 2025) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Department of Secondary Education needs adjunct instructors to fill a variety of roles. We need adjuncts to teach, online, hybrid, and on-campus. We also need adjuncts to serve as university supervisors for teacher candidates completing field experiences (practicum and internship).
